James Thang is a highly accomplished professional with an impressive 27-year track record in software development, digital transformation, IT project management, and people management. Currently serving as the Group Chief Information Officer (CIO) at HELP Education Group, he leads the digital transformation initiatives across the organization. With extensive international exposure in Asia Pacific, China, and Europe, James has presented to the boards of directors and shareholders of multinational corporations (MNCs) and public-listed companies. He has received numerous accolades for his contributions to technology, including the ETCIO Transformative CIO Award (2022, 2023, and 2024) by Times Economic Magazine. James is listed in the Global CIO Forum’s The World CIO 200 (Legend Category) for 2023/2024, representing Malaysia and winning the Grand Finale Global Champion in South Africa.
